Influencing the Weather

You can extend the power of your thoughts far beyond merely affecting your body. You can influence the weather and your environment.

When I arrived in Maui, Hawaii, late one night, the weather report said that it would be raining on the entire island for days. That wasn’t the news I wanted to hear. I desired a warm, sunny vacation in Hawaii. I had been studying the effects of our thoughts on our environment so I decided to experiment. Before I went to sleep, I envisioned that the next day we would have clear blue sky. I imagined feeling the warmth of the sun on my skin and relaxing on the white sand beach. I didn’t struggle with that vision or doubt that it would work. I relaxed and felt it happening. When I awoke the next day, the sun was shining and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky. Excited, I dashed out to the small private beach by my condo and spread out my towel on the sand.

Hours later, something interesting occurred. People started forging their way through the bushes that surrounded my private and secluded beach. Eventually, I was sharing my space with about twenty other people. One couple told me that they had driven around the entire island and found the only spot where it wasn’t pouring rain: my tiny beach. They were shocked to discover that from this beach all they could see was blue sky. This confirmed to me that our consciousness is powerful and we can affect the weather as well as our environment.

I’ve envisioned rain and then watched it rain on my house and not the rest of the city. I have also been successful at bringing the sun out at my home while the rest of the city was shrouded in fog. I’ve seen people in a drought-ridden area focus so strongly and pray so intently for rain that it actually brought flooding to their area.

A few of us have experimented and been successful with dissipating or sending hurricanes away from different areas. I encourage you to experiment with this ability when undesirable weather is predicted for your area. You have to know it will happen though. You can’t just wish a massive storm would go away while secretly doubting your ability to change the circumstances. You will also suppress your ability to influence the weather if you believe some other power knows better than you or that you should “keep out of it” so you don’t make matters worse. If you do fear somehow causing damage by changing the weather then it is best that you don’t mess with it. Your fear alone could cause a problem.
We’re playing and experimenting with our potential.
