Immigrated to Christchurch in 2003 from the UK and not looked back since. Love the lifestyle and the multisport culture. Ventured into Triathlon and competed at Olympic distance, found swimming the downside of this sport, might go back one day and conquer my fear of that ocean. Now into Ultra-distance running and have just completed 2 x 100km run off road races in 3 weeks Yahoo! – Have found my ultimate sport and hooked on ultra-distance running. Will build my skills from here to compete at the best level I can. Next race is the big 100 miler 🙂 If I could only share one thing with you about me, it would be that I am a born socialiser who just cannot get enough of meeting new people. I am a lively and enthusiastic person who loves life and regards the world as your oyster. Through curiosity and fascination of the world, I have become a seasoned traveller of worldwide destinations. I have a large and lovely family who all live in the UK. My dad has six brothers so you can vision the size of the family. I am the only one in our family who has not married and the only one who has traveled the world. Therefore, you can imagine that I have had some peer pressure concerning settling down! Although my family have relaxed now and accept me as I am, phew! I am a bubbly and outgoing person with a passion for sport and adventure, being outdoors and having fun no matter what the weather, being it running, cycling, snowboarding, hiking or walking the dog, or all of them in one day :)Have traveled the world and so travel is my passion together with sport, so I guess mixing the two is great for me 🙂 With regard to travel, I especially love cycle touring since I have traveled half the world on a cycle way back in 1992/3 and cycled 7 countries in all and clocked up 28,000 kilometres. Travelling has been the greatest training I have ever done, extensively travelling half the world on cycle was a transformation, cycling the Himalaya Mountains at altitude and long-distance cycling in unfamiliar territory, was a challenging and rewarding time in my life, and it developed me as an individual and brought me out of my shell. I got to know my strengths, weaknesses, and limits and really brought it home to me that being grateful for what I have in life is so essential for happiness. Materialistic things are nice, but not that really important to me but more to have love, companionship and to appreciate what this beautiful world is about and to explore it. Since then my sense of travel has always been present and would love to travel again in the future and to share this experience with my partner. As a passionate raw vegan athlete, I have a high passion for being in good health and fitness, and would love to meet someone who shares my passion for good health and accepts my lifestyle as a raw vegan. I do not mind meeting anyone with any diet tastes, it does not matter to me only that they accept my lifestyle and share the delights of different food tastes.Love to cook and just love sharing my raw food dishes with anyone, no one has complained yet ? Meeting someone who shares my passions in life for health and fitness would be great, to share being outdoors, travelling and exploring the world, enjoying different cultures and living life to the full. Love to meet a man who is romantic, fun-loving, humorous who can make me laugh, is kind and compassionate and accepts being who they really are. I am very open communicative person who will share anything that is on my mind and need someone who can do the same. The ideal would be to have someone as a friend where we can have fun together and get to know each bit by bit, and progressing into a lovely partnership as and when it happens.
